Large friendly lounge and kitchen.

Bedroom, shower room and toilet are clean. Kitchen has everything that you need to cook your meal. Location is great! It's walking distance to the city and small town.

All in all quite decent hostel, large and well equiped kitchen (although one stove was broken). Bring padlock for under-the-bed locker.

Clean, friendly staff and a big kitchen. Extra plus for there was lockers for everyone in the room! It's located about 5 mins walk from the Main Street - Queens Street. So not too far away.

Good location and price

Hot showers 24/7 and plenty of them. Well equipped kitchen with cling film! Really, really helpful and informative staff. Actually, everyone who worked there is awesome! The facilities were cleaned and well looked. Fast and free wifi 24/7. Not noisy, but still sociable with a wide range of age groups. I was impressed by this hostel.

This YHA has an excellent kitchen. It's also on the route of the SkyBus from the airport.

The yha international is a good bet if you want a clean and organized facility. Like most yha hostels it is run more as a hotel and therefore you are less likely to meet or interact with fellow travelers if that is your aim. They have a good kitchen and a tv room for sky if that is of interest. Staff were also friendly. However in my opinion it is nicer to stag outside the city in mt Eden or ponsonby...

its location is very good. common facilities like kitchen are well.

The kitchen was really good, it had lots of facilities and enough for several people to cook at once. The property was clean and the rooms were adequate for what they were needed for - sleeping in and leaving my suitcase etc. It was also very close to town in a central location, although you had to walk up a hill to get there.
