The instant sleep is an individual and independent backpacker hostel in the Schanzenviertel district of Hamburg. As one of the first hostels in Hamburg, we have meanwhile become one of the authentic cult places the city has to offer. With us it is relaxed: in the beds of our 11 rooms can accommodate about 50 people. All our rooms exude a creative, experimental charm. Many of the pictures on our walls, the carvings on our doors and the design on the beds are from the guests themselves.

Social and fun

We are a classic backpacker hostel: our guests are as bizarre and cosmopolitan originals as we are. From the seventy-year-old Romanian, who sells home-made hair lotions every year in Hamburg, to the young, blonde Rastafarian from Australia, there is everything about pantomime street artists from Japan. In the heart of our hostel, the lounge, everyone meets, relax together and get to know each other. In our self-catering kitchen can be cooked together. The shared bathrooms are in the hallway.
